Learn-&-Playdates with Dr. Kearney

Currently on hold

Join me & let's learn while we play!

What is a learn-&-playdate?

A play-based session targeting: hands-on language-building lessons, sensory exploration, social interaction with peers, interactive craft activities, play, as well as emerging and early reading skills. Each session explicitly incorporates a number of Common Core language standards that your child will be expected to demonstrate in school. Families will also go home with a take-away activity and materials to practice and build language skills at the end of each session.

How long are learn-&-playdate sessions?

Each session is 1-hour of jam-packed fun!

When are they held?

There are typically 3 learn-&-playdate sessions each month. Be sure to check this page to see all of the sessions offered for the month and to confirm future dates!

Where will the playdates take place?

All sessions will be held in Upper Marlboro, MD.

Who can join a playdate?

Any child between the ages of 2 and 5 can join! Playdates will consist of no more than four children at a time in a given age-group (either the 2-3 year-old group or the 4-5 year-old group). All sessions will be lead by Dr. Kearney with the support of caregivers.

What is expected of caregivers?

Your enthusiastic involvement in all session activities and lessons is the only requirement! As little ones are easily distracted and love to move often, your hands-on involvement will be key to having a great session!

If your child happens to need a bit of a break, there is a comfy space where you can both take a breather until you are ready to return to the fun!

What is the cost?

Each session is affordably priced at $36.00. A non-refundable $5 deposit must be paid in order to book a session and the remainder can be paid via cash, check or credit card on the day of the playdate session.
