FAQs
What is a learn-&-playdate session?
A virtual play-based session targeting: hands-on language-building lessons, sensory exploration, social interaction with peers, interactive craft activities, play, as well as emerging and early reading skills. Each session explicitly incorporates a number of Common Core language standards that your child will be expected to demonstrate in school.

There are three types of playdate sessions:
1. Group playdate sessions for traditional learners

  • these sessions are for any child aged 2-6 who do not have any special/unique needs that need to be considered when teaching them. A max of 4 students can sign up for group sessions.

2. One-On-One sessions for traditional learners

  • these sessions are for any child aged 2-6 who does not have any special/unique needs. A max of 1 student can sign up for one-on-one sessions.

3. One-On-One sessions for unique learners

  • these sessions are for any child aged 2-6 who has special/unique needs that need to be considered when teaching. A max of 1 student can sign up for one-on-one sessions.

How long are learn-&-playdate sessions?
Each group session is 30-minutes of jam-packed fun! One-on-one (individual) sessions are also 30-minutes.

When are they held?
There are typically 4 learn-&-playdate sessions (each type) each month.

Where will the playdates take place?
All sessions will be held virtually (over the computer). A Zoom link to your session will be emailed once you book your day/time.

Who can join a playdate?
Any child between the ages of 2 and 6 can join! Group playdate sessions will consist of no more than four children at a time. All sessions will be lead by Dr. Kearney with the support of you, the caregiver!

What if less than 4 children sign up for a playdate?
At least 2 children need to be signed up for a group playdate session for that session to take place. If less than 2 sign up, the session will be canceled and a refund will be issued. Parents of the child that signed up will also be given the option of conducting the session as a one-on-one at a discounted price.

What if I have more than 1 child to sign up for a class?
Siblings must register separately. A discount of 15% will be applied to the second child's registration cost (for group playdate sessions only). Complete this form to get a coupon code that you can apply during booking.

What is expected of caregivers?
Your enthusiastic involvement in the session's activities is the only requirement! As little ones are easily distracted and love to move often, your hands-on involvement will be key to having a great learning experience.

What is the cost?
Group:

Each group playdate session is $20.00 per child. A $5 deposit must be paid at the time of registration to save your child(ren)'s spot and the remainder must be paid prior to the start of the playdate session.

One-On-One:
Each one-on-one (individual) playdate session is $50.00 per child. A $15 deposit must be paid at the time of registration to save your child(ren)'s spot and the remainder must be paid prior to the start of the playdate session.

How do I prepare for a playdate session?
Please download Zoom prior to the start of your session. I recommend attending the class using a computer or a tablet for the best experience!
